Overview
Booking a haircut, a facial or a grooming appointment in Pakistan still runs on phone calls, WhatsApp messages and walk-ins. Salons lose slots to no-shows and missed calls; customers have no reliable way to see who is available, what a service costs, or which stylist they are getting.
Book For Look is our answer — a marketplace connecting customers with verified personal care providers across seven categories. Rather than build it for a client, we built and now operate it ourselves, so every architectural decision and production lesson on this page is first-hand.
What We Built
Customer Mobile App
React Native app for iOS and Android. Browse providers, filter by category and location, view services and staff, then book a slot in a few taps.
Provider Mobile App
A separate app for salon owners and independent professionals to accept bookings, manage availability and track earnings on the move.
Customer Website
A server-rendered Next.js site so listings are fast, shareable and properly indexed by search engines — not locked inside an app.
Provider Portal
Desktop portal for the service catalogue, staff rosters, working hours, pricing, analytics and payout records.
Admin Panel
Internal tooling for provider verification, category management, booking oversight, payouts, disputes and platform-wide reporting.
Support Panel
A dedicated console so support staff can resolve booking issues without being handed full administrative access.

The Booking Engine
Service & Staff Selection
Services are grouped by category, and customers can request a specific staff member or let the salon assign one. Availability resolves per staff member, not per salon.
Packages & Multi-Select
Providers bundle services into packages. Customers combine several services in one visit, with duration and pricing recalculated as the basket changes.
Real-Time Slot Logic
Open slots derive from staff working hours, existing bookings and per-service duration, so double bookings are prevented at the source.
OTP Verification
A pluggable verification layer supporting SMS and email, keeping the marketplace free of fake accounts on both sides.
Payments & Payouts
A redirect-based checkout designed to keep card data off our servers, with commission handling and an auditable payout trail.
Role-Based Access
Customers, providers, staff, support agents and admins each see only what their role permits, enforced server-side rather than hidden in the interface.
Platform Operations
Admin panel — provider verification, bookings, payouts and platform reporting.
Brand & Design System
The identity is a beauty mirror with a glass glint and a coral spark — “Look” and self-care in one mark. Every screen across the six surfaces was designed against a single palette and type scale before a line of UI code was written.
